b. 1876 (?). He is said to have been a military and for a while worked as an aide-de-camp ("adjutant") to a general. The family name is most probably of Polish origin and should be spelt Wojtczuk or Wojtczyk. He later bought some land in the village of Bohdanivka, Vinnytsia oblast. There he settled and became a farmer. Children: Petro, b. 1896, d. 1972 April. Kornij, b. 1898/1899, d. 1970s in Bohdanivka, Vinnytsia oblast. He inherited the biggest part of his father's homestead in Bohdanivka. He was married and had at least two sons. One of the sons was killed during World War II. The other son, Ivan, became a teacher and is still living in the area. |
