Plyskiv has had two chuches, one orthodox and one catholic. The orthodox church was called Church of St Paraskeva (Tserkva sv.Paraskevy) and was built in 1853. But most probably there had been an earlier church in the village. The church was closed in the 1930s. Although the local priest Stopyatnjuk stayed in the village but with changed occupation. When the church was reopened during the German occupation he could return to his priesthood. The church was destroyed after World War II, although it's not known when.

The catholic church is mentioned already in 1793. It was closed shortly after the bolshevik take-over in Ukraine. Although it wasn't destroyed at the time, but even used as a prison during the collectivization in the 1930s. Today it's a ruin though. The roof is gone and only the raw brick walls are standing.

After Ukraine regained independence in the 1990s a new orthodox congregation was started in the village.

The village cemetery is situated in the southern part of the village. A small burial chapel is situated on the part of the cemetery that is used today. And older and today not used part of the cemetery on the other side of the street is said to be a mainly catholic cemetery. Signs can here be seen after treasure-hunters.
