(Viktor Rechmedin)

b. c1880 in Novoselytsa, Kozhanka district, Kiev gubernia. (father / mother)
d. 1924 ?.

Like his older brother Ostap he first studied at the Church school in Skvyra and later at the teacher's seminary in Kyiv. He then worked as a teacher in Verkhnijacka village, Pohrebysche district. He played the violin and wrote short stories. A collection of his stories was published under the name "Native stories".

He was married to Hanna Myshak.

During the civil war he was a commander (otaman) for the Ukrainian army in Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv oblast. He was almost killed after the Bolshevik army had taken the city. This event changed his personality. He went back to his home village Novoselytsa, but disappeared from there in 1924.

Raisa. She was married to a Soviet general named Shyrokyj. They lived in Kyiv and had two children: Oleh Shyrokyj and Alla Shyrokyj.
